when installing a boost gauge were does the fitting screw into on a 96 talon tsi can anyone show me pics of were to do it or installation instructions

ok i bought a boost gauge its manual and i need to know were i run the tubing to cause i have no idea were to screw the fitting into or were it is located. can someone show me pics or help me in someway i have a boost gauge just sitting in my dash and i really need to get it done

that kind of helps but its a diff setup on the pics and i have no idea were the fuel pressure solinoid is located

You can do it either way. I did my boost gauge through the Intake Manifold, some people even do it through their brakes. Its setup similar like the boost lines, from Mani, to BOV, T fitting, then to wastegate, etc... I will try to post a pic here in a second to what is should look like.

The link I showed you is just a reference. Take a look at it, there is a vacuum line that goes off you FPR at the end of your fuel rail. Follow that vacuum line and it will connect the FP Solenoid. The other line on the solenoid is what you tap into, it leads to the intake manifold.

"The fuel pressure control solenoid is located on the drivers side firewall next to the brake fluid reservoir (see illustration). On my '91 GS-T, the hose going to the top of the fuel pressure solenoid has a blue stripe on it (yours may differ). If you trace this line, you will see that it leads to the end of the fuel rail. It is the other vacuum hose attached to the fuel pressure solenoid that we are going to tap. It is a solid black line (below the blue-striped line) and if you trace it, it leads to the center of the intake manifold. On the solenoid end, it is actually already cut and connected together with a plastic joint. I simply removed this joint, put in a plastic 'T' and you have your tap. " ~VFAQ

Thats really not the reccomended place to tap for a boost gauge. Find the line from the fuel pressure regulator the the fp solenoid . The solenoid is on the drivers side on the firewall. There should be a line that runs from the solenoid to the intake, the nipple on the intake is toward the back on the drivers side. Tap in between the manifold and the fpr solenoid. If you tap into the BOV line and you end up with a leak somewhere or the line blows then the BOV will not work correctly.
