300ZX intercoolers on 2g Talon

So, a friend of mine did a FMIC install yesterday (8 hours of hell, let me tell ya...) and I got the bright idea of using his old intercoolers on my booger (its that tropical lime color, hence the name).

What do y'all think, can it be done? Are there any benefits?

Do you mean you want to put 2 intercoolers on?

Not much point. Any hope for gain in more cooling area will be more than canceled by the vast intake volume.

You can use one of them if it's bigger than the stock sidemount.

Im doubting that they are bigger than a stock intercooler. I had a 3000GT (not a 300ZX I know, but it is a close match turbo setup wise, twin turbo/twinintercooler setup) and I bought DSM sidemounts as an upgrade. You could take two side mounts, weld them into one top to bottom flow FMIC, it works well and flows alot more.

yea i saw once a guy that welded 3 stock dsm smic together, real cheap and a good intercooler

Whatever you choose to do, make sure they are in parallel. Series is a no-no.

They're tiny and not even worth considering. Just save your money for a front mount.
