I just recently installed a apexi turbo timer, AEM tru-boost, AEM UEGO wide-band, and new plugs & wires. I also just replaced timing belt, water pump, balance shaft belt and all those things, but my problem arose before the timing belt etc. When I step on the gas a little harder than a normal slow start in i believe 3-5th gear the cars rev's jump from ~2500 to 3000 right quick, then accelerates pretty normal. Also when I accelerate in those gears it makes it sounds like I am missing a shift when I step on the gas because I start to accelerate and the revs go up but I dont go anywhere for like a second then I accelerate. Not really sure what it is, possibly set up the boost hoses incorrect or the new solonoid that came with the boost control/gauge?? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Ya... I tried it a couple days ago, I was in 5th gear and stepped on the gas on the highway from about 40-50mph from around 3-4G rpms, and the revs jumped fast to like 7-8 and I didnt go any faster, and after I let off the gas a couple seconds later it smelled like burning, so I didnt do it again.
I also gave a couple runs down a street, it doesnt seem to do it in 3rd gear, maybe a tiny bit, quite a bit in 4th and 5th though....
I replaced the master cylinder and slave cylinder last summer or the summer before, cant remember, what part would I have to change to stop it from slipping.

**** Also, I noticed after the timing belt change and all that, that there was WAY more free play in the clutch before it engages. Use to be a tiny bit which was fine, but now a good inch or two more.....makes it weird to drive.. Is this another sign of clutch slippage

-thanks

when you take it all apart you can ethier resurface the flywheel the machine shop you take it to can tell you if it is reusable or upgrade for a lighter-fw- and is up too you if you want to do the stock or upgraded cluth kit whatever is whitin your budget depending on goals with the car , you can drop a lsd insert while your at it 40 min back and forward to install $85 from sbr take some of the wheel hop off-- i like it !
