Hey guys i was just woundering if the dsmlink is all you need tuning wise, and also is there any modifications that i would have to do to my car before i get the dsmlink program, and what all do i need once i have the program.:dsm:

All you need is an EPROM ECU. Your '97 ECU doesn't come with an EPROM. Maybe you already knew this. Your vehicle profile shows a near stock level car. How far do you want to go?

Im probably going to just push a evo lll to its max with all the supporting modifications of course

so is the dsmlink all i need tuning wise or do i need to worry about a datalogger or a safc or any other tuning methods

All you need is the eprom ecu and get it socketed. DSM link is a data logger itself that tells you everything your car is doing, it even tells you estimated MPG your using and estimated hp. I am saving up for dsm link myself.

You need a socketed 1995 Eprom ecu, a laptop w/ a serial port, and DSMlink V2 for your car. Running DSMlink isn't cheap, but like many DSMers say it is worth it. If you have the cash then I'd suggest you go for it. Also, since you have a 1997 eclipse you'll need to invert the CAS (select this option while using DSMlink or order it with setting already selected). Even with CAS inversion, you still have to swap plug wire 1 with 2 and 3 with 4 to have your car start properly.
