THANKS AGAIN

-JPICK (IN IRAQ)

There is always little stuff you need and can't predict. What piston oil quirters. Do you have them. Are you reusing old ones? You will need to have the block clearnaced also for the stroker build. The main cap bridges need to be milled or ground on and the block will need to be ground on a little also to make room for the crank. The engine oil pan will need to be dented up a bit in a couple spots also to make room for the crank. Other than that your parts list looks pretty good.

All The Machine Work Will Be Done By A Shop Or Sbr Not Sure Which Yet. Probably More Than Likely A Shop In/near Richmond, Va.

Piston Oil Squirters( Nope Didnt Have That On The List )

^
Thats What Im Looking For.

I Havent Ordered Anything Yet I Want To Get Everything At Once. I Get Leave In August And I Plan On Trying To Get The Motor Starting Assembly Around My Leave Time And Before I Head Up To The Shootout. ALSO I AM GOING TO BE STARTING WITH BARE BLOCK AND HEAD (6BOLT) MACHINED FOR THE 2.3 BUILD. WILL BE GETTING A NEW OIL PAN, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE TO FIND ONE I WONT HAVE TO DECENT (LOL) WORTH A SHOT.

where could i purchase the oil squirters? or am i guessing oem is the way to go.

The stock 6 bolt block should come with oil squiters unless its a N/T block. You can reuse the Oil squiters in a Stroker build by bending them slightly so that the piston skirts clear the squirter. Although with a forged build its not needed to have oil squiters. Most people will tell you to get rid of them, but the way I see it, they are extra insurance that the wrist piston is staying lubricated and that the pistons are keeping cool.

One thing that im also recommending is that you either switched to an Eagle forged crank, or have yours inspected THOROUGHLY. Unfortunetely while doing my build the Eagle crank was not available at the time. Also Check out FFWD's Butcher Crank. You can upgrade all the bolt-on crap later but the engine is something your only going to want to do once, Might aswell make it the most bulletproof engine out there and with all that weight gone It revs soooooo much quicker.

thanks paper clip boy.

yeah right now i have(well technically someone has) a 4g64 crank, which was going to be used in a friends build. but thanks for the heads up. yeah i hear ya 100% about the engine.

Hey, don't forget the CAS. If you need a wiring diagram to get it into the 2g harness, there's one that is super sipmle to read at magnusmotorsports.com

yeah def. didnt forget that just havent gotten around to it ;) thanks

Im sure youve already thought about the supporting mods but since you have all that ordered, nows the time to price out that list.

This sounds like exactly what I did. Went to Iraq, came back and built a car. Ah yes!

by supporting mods you mean? i have everything i need right now for the performance aspect except: turbo, WG, exhaust manifold, o2 housing. . .

but yes things like the cas and the parts i need from mitsubishi still need to be picked up.

walbro 255HP intank
pte 1000cc injectors
Afpr kit
-6an SS line
-6an billet fuel filter

will stretch the limits of the pump before adding a bosch -044 inline or maybe just another walbro 255HP inline pump.

Agreed -- this setup will easily do 700AWHP with a 2nd walboro 255HP inline.

Also, it is in your best interests to order the bearings (main/rod) AFTER your crank goes to the machine shop because if you are reusing your 4G64 crank and it needs to be turned from standard size to a 10/10, you just wasted money on bearings. If you go with the Eagle crank, you should be able to use the standard size without issues.

FYI, the Eagle rods come with ARP rod bolts already installed.

You will also need bronze valve guides for the cylinder head.

Here is a very helpful buildup link to give you an idea of some of the things you will expect to happen, and some helpful tricks to make sure you do it right.

http://www.extremeevolutions.com/4G64_buildup.htm

Just remember -- the link is for a 2.4L 4G64 swap, NOT a 2.3L, so disregard some of the data -- I linked it because I felt it was helpful in the buildup of my race 2.3L.

Data like :
Balance shaft pully replacement spacer - MD128107

Good luck!
