Pkay i'm pretty new to working on cars in genaeral so this maty be a stuped question to ask but, I just took out my engine and now im gonna be putting a new one in. Before i go putting in the tranny hooking up a turbo etc etc...what do i need to connect just to see if the engine will start or do i need to conenct the manifold the turbo the intake teh tranny and everything else?

There is not a good way to make sure the engine is going to start other than putting it in and hitting the key. Why do think your new engine will not start?

so you do need to connect everything including the manifold turbo etc, I don't have a turbo yet and i didn't want to have to by one till i got my engine to run first. There is sensors missing and i just wanted to make sure i had the money to get the engine to run before i go out and buy a turbo. Exhaust etc.
