I have a 97 GST and right now my car is in the shop and I really need a flywheel and a clutch. Im looking online to buy it now because Im trying to get it as soon as possible. The guy I bought my car from said the engine was replaced but Im trying to figure out whether it was replaced with a 6 bolt. I heard that you can look at the oil pan to see if its a 6 bolt or not but Im about an hour away from my car and I can't look under to compare it. Ive been searching on here for about an hour but I couldn't find a clear answer. I do know that when I looked at the flywheel off of the car it has 6 bolts, does this indicate whether its a 6 bolt or 7 bolt? and does anyone have any suggestions on a good but affordable clutch and flywheel combo? Ive seen some good deals with extreme psi but im not positive on which ones to buy.

If it was 6bolts to the flywheel I'm pretty sure that means its a 6bolt. I have a act 2100 pressure plate here thats used but still in great condition... Although you are looking for a combo deal I doubt you are interested. Good luck

Hey I returned your email about the clutch and flywheel etc. I don't know how much your looking to spend but I spent 500 I believe for the ACT 2100 clutch and the ACT street light flywheel when I got it off ebay. They were in fact authentic products not rip off or anything. Could save a bit if you go with the fidanza flywheel as well only like 177 on ebay. It's only 8 lbs compared to the ACT street light which is 12 lbs I believe. Either one is significantly lighter than the stock one which is around 19 lbs I think.

I had an ACT 2100 and ate it up, then I put a stock pressure plate in with an 6-puck and blew through that in 8 months, right now I have a slowboy 4000 and its great! However its very stiff so if the master and slave cylinders haven't been replaced you might blow those (just a warning).
