My battery keeps dieing, so I traced it to the 80 amp alt fuse. What are some of the things this could mean. The alternator is less than a year old. But It has had some power steering fluid dripped on it. Why would it draw current with the key off.

my battery keeps dieing too. Havent traced it to be the alt fuse (actually dont know waht it i yet), but ## alt may be having problems of its own (bad diode, etc). I cant help u much more, but just throwing the idea out there.

How did you trace it? I'm also having some problems. Alternator is new, battery is new, but still doesn't charge properly.

PS fluid on an alt will usually kill it. Disconnect the large cable from the alt (and tape it up) and see if you still have the draw. Disconnect battery negative while unhooking alt to prevent shorts.
