ok well im about to buy a 1G GSX the guys says that the front axels need to be replaced because the are "broke"....
i need to have the car moved because it is in a school parking lot...
will the car still go if the front axels are broke? would the rear wheels still spin...
never had or even driven an AWD car so i have no idea...
thanks for the help guys...

ummm, what does he mean by "broke"...slipping, messed up the cv joints or at the half shaft point.

Does not really matter in the end I guess, if you are moving it the best way is to use a flat bed or a car trailor. It is not a good idea to just tow the car like a normal vehicle.

The thing is, it may drive somewhat, but you would probably be burning out you're center diff. These cars split power front to back 50/50, so if one set of wheels is detached, the center diff will be working overtime to try send the power to the other wheels. It will esentially feel like the car has a slipping clutch. I wouldn't risk it. Tow it.

Welcome to the Boards - Now call a Flat Bed Tow Truck & SAVE that number on your phone - You'll need it~!

& AAA Membership would DEFINITELY be a good Investment about now...

it depends whats broken on your front axels. in the winter time, my front differentials wouldnt spin, only my rear. very nice for drifts. but on warm days and now in the summer, my AWD is fully functional.

so just to be safe, i'd say flatbed it or dolley it.
