What kind of aluminium in my VP IC?

One of the welds cracked on my Victory Performance IC on the end tank and a local welder said he can only weld it if it is NOT cast aluminium. Anyone know what kind of aluminium it is and can it be fixed? The IC is at least 4 years old

all tho i dont know for sure, i really doubt there is any CAST alumin. on your fmic.

If the end tanks looks like there made from pieces and welded togather then its not cast.
