My buddy and I just installed my T-28 today and tonight I ran around pretty hard getting the boost where I wanted it. when I pulled into my garage I reved up a little and when the rpms came down to about 1500 I heard a real fast ticking from under the hood and when I popped the hood it sounds like from the turbo. It is not very loud because you can not hear when you are outside the garage. I was wondering has anyone else every heard this noise before? Thanks

Possible fin hitting a certan part of the compressor wall? I would say check shaft play after the car is off, and turbo cool. Spin it to see if you can get it to hit the compressor sidewall.

I am not sure what you mean by prime the turbo, but we took the turbo off my buddy car, the turbo has like 3000 miles on it. I checked for shaft play, but then again the turbo was still warm. That is what i was think like shaft play. if it does and it is rubbing in some area will this be a big problem or just more of annoying noise. Thanks again

Priming a turbo means after you install it, you pull the MPI fuse (located in the fuse box; Top left, 20A blue box) and crank the engine over about 5 times in 10 sec. intervals. This gets oil running through the turbo before you start the car for the first time after the install. It's a must. And if your blades are rubbing against the housing of your turbo, it's more serious that just being annoying; either time for a new turbo, or rebuild. You'll be able to tell if it's rubbing by checking for shaft play, and seeing if you can see any scraping marks where the blades of the compressor wheel would touch the housing.
