Advantages of a G4CS??

I'm looking at buying a GSX with a G4CS block and a built engine (pistons, rods, 272 cam, metal headgasket, dsmlink, 50trim). I've heard people talk about good low end power with a 2.4, but I've also heard about increased turbo lag. My question is what advantages or disadvantages am I going to see with this set up? Thanks for your help

actually the 2.4 will actually decrease turbo lag significantly! Thats the whole reason people will stroke a 2.0 to 2.3 or use the g4cs block and make a 2.4L! better torque and the ability to spool 60-1 like s 16g!!! (or a 35r before 4000 rpm!!!).

the only downside to the above motors is the fact that rpm potential is limited due to piston speeds rapidly approaching critical ( I believe somewhere in the range of 5200 feet per second....don't quote me on that) however several people have run strokers past 8k repeatedly though I wouldn't!!!!

If your looking to spool a large turbo and have lots of torque( basicly an insanely powerfull street car) then this is a good option. for drag racing.... well shep holds the record and he still uses a 2L!!!! it all depends on what you want out of your car

Is this a street car/DD? Then there are almost no disadvantages to a 2.4 at all. The only downside is that you can't rev the piss out of it like a 2.0. But that's overrated. High RPM's are for Hondas.
