Just did my first run with my new 550's and AFPR installed here is my log I noticed a huge timing drop in the begining from where my boost spikes then settles. This run was right around 11-12 psi of boost any help is appreciated. Mods are in my profile minus the FMIC not installed yet thats the project for this weekend or next.

Next time, put headings on the columns of data so we know for sure what each means.

I'm guessing that the 3rd column is O2v.

Your timing will get retarded most when you first hit full boost (looks like around 3500rpm). Then it should rise smoothly to redline. That's normal.

However, if the 3rd column is O2v, you're leaning out BADLY. Narrowband O2 sensors won't let you read AFR, but most folks see O2v above 0.88. Many claim above 0.92v is where you want to be. 0.02v doesn't look good.

I'd worry about adding fuel to get the O2v into the safe region asap. Then you can start leaning it out to get at a safe but not too rich point.

I didn't look at your profile, but I assume that you have SAFC, Link or some other controller to handle the 550s. Don't go burning up your internals.:thumb:

I do have an SAFC and all supporting mods. With my o2 readings being so horribly low what would you reccomend I set the SAFC to for the HI settings? I just set them at -5% accross the board based off of my LOW settings. Im very new to tuning obviously and need some help. Any more input would be appreciated.

That run was at 11psi, I want to run 17psi for right now though untl i get my front mount installed.

With afc set at -5 on 550cc you sould be running very rich. seems to me you be starting aroung -10 to -14. but your o2 volts show you running rich best tuning tool I got was a wideband made all the difference in tuning

Thats what I thought with the 550's that I would need to lean it out a lot thats why I dont understand how im running so lean at -5% accross the board makes no sense. Here is another question that I noticed as well that could be part of the problem. When I shut my car off after awhile of sitting the fuel pressure is at 0 should it stay at 42lbs constantly with the car on or off? If so I obviously have a small leak somewhere but with the car running the fuel pressure seems to be ok but maybe the small leak is causing the car to run more lean than normal

Fuel pressure should be 42psi with the FPR vacuum hose removed at idle.
If you measure the pressure right after you shut down the car and it drops to 0 within a short amount of time, you could have a bad seal in your AFPR, or your fuel pump O-ring/seal or sending unit. When you have a bad seal at the pump, it could lead to LEAN CONDITIONS under heavy load. (which you are showing in your log)

Some people say that when fuel pressure drops to 0 quickly after shutting down is normal when using an AFPR. This is a heated debate that even some wisemen disagree on.

Was that a third gear pull? Do you know if your o2 sensor is good? Obviously your o2's are not even registering, and your timing dropped and held from 4100rpm through 5500rpm. Good sign of knock occuring.

Something else is definitely wrong or sealed/installed/tuned incorrectly. You should be running crazy rich on 11psi with 550's and a 255 pump at only -5%.

Just for giggles, have you done a boost leak test recently?
