I was really looking for another sub-forum than this one, but I couldn't find one. I have 2 old motors. What has everyone done with thier old motors that are broken?

If they are usable, sell them... They don't make DSMs anymore, so as time goes on they will get harder and harder to find, unless you buy reproduction stuff.

I was almost thinking about selling it to a metal place for cash.... just taking up space.

Overboost on one and lost oil pressure on another. I know 1 is a 6-bolt and the other came stock in my 94 talon, so 7 bolt?

Try posting them up in the classifieds, there is always someone looking for a project. Plus the six bolt will probably go no matter what shape it is in. Try posting them up there first and explain whats wrong with them, Im sure you might get a buyer.

If you plan on staying with DSM's for a while longer I would recommend keeping at least one of them for a rebuildable spare just for the hell of it. Its what I would do.

Yeah, rebuild one. Sell the other. If you were closer I'd buy one for scrap prices :D

Or you could make a dune buggy. Or you could make an experimental airplane. On second thought, don't try the airplane thing, but the dune buggy would be sweet!

Now that's frickin' hilarious...

On a serious note, I'd do what the guys said. I'd keep the 6-bolt, rebuild it (over time, into a beast if you want)... and sell the 7-bolt. I just know what it's like to be without spares when something goes wrong, it'd be a lot cooler to be sitting with one around at all times. It's up to ya though. Shipping is going to be a beast.
