So my car is boosting at 18psi and boosest says 33psi. I found a boost leak and am in the middle of fixing it. When I fix the leak will I still boost at 18 or will it boost at 33?

Should be 18. Just because the system is holding 33psi... which i think boosest is supposed to be "boost test". What a car can hold, and what you have it adjusted to run at are two different things.

No I mean boostest, according to dsmlink.

No offense here, this is gonna sound bad, but how are some people proven members?

What's that supposed to me? It's a legitimate question asshole. And your title changes depending on how many posts the person has N00B! :notgood:

damn, 33psi? Hell of a leak, or leaks. Just a suggestion, but if you dont already, look into removing emissions shit if for anything just to stop/avoid future boost leaks. It makes leaks easier to find also.

Aren't there downsides to removing the emissions stuff? Like running rich, or smelling gas?
I have been thinking about it for a while.

It's illegal, but I haven't noticed any side effects. I need to get a block off plate for my egr still...

It will boost to whatever the mbc is set to. BoostEst is an estimate based on airflow. What maf are you using?
