Where do you guys (and girls) use loctite?

There are really too many fasteners in a vehicle to go over each one and tell you wich lock tight to use, but keep this in mind. If you dont want the fastener to come out use red, if you think you may need to remove it someday go blue, if you know you need to remove it some day (ie:sparkplugs) use anti seize. Hopefully that helps a little at least concept wise that is.

If your using red use it on a bolt that can be heated. You have to torch the red to get it lose. So i would say no to red on a flywheel bolts, because you have your main seal behind it and that cant be heated.

Tell me about it! I learned the really hard way w/ welded motor mounts. I even use the red alot. I do NOT use the red where I can't get a torch. You need heat to get them aloose w/out killing knuckles and or the bolt head.

Yeah, thanks for the heads-up. I doubt that people need to use red loctite on upgraded short shifter screws (in particular, the screw that allows adjustment for the decrease in throw), but B&M supplies the stuff with their product. I have had a hell of a time trying to take off one of the bolts, so I figure I will need to bring in the torch for some assistance. But I think the blue loctite (or similar product) would have done the trick.
