Is the tranny and clutch different in a 94 and 91?

I have a 91 and 94 tsi awd. I just got the 94 and the clutch is way easier to press and the shifts feel more mechanical. Is this normal?

mabye you should try and bleed out the clutch system on the 94.
if its easier to press, then there is Less pressure in the system, Or the clutch is worn out.

since you didnt mention any grinding, Id say you either have a leaking or worn Master or slave cyl, or just need to bleed it out. reduced clutch capability would create a 'mechanical" feel.

It could be a couple of things, if your 91 has a aftermarket clutch in it then it would have a stiffer feel then then 94 and it as well could be as simple as the tranny in your 94 has better tranny fluid in it, good transmission fluid can be a change of night and day. I just changed mine and it shifts perfect, compared too it shifting like crap before.
