I just bought a 94 tsi awd and it screaches very loud for at least 30 seconds after starting and also after I agressively shift into a higher gear. The guy I bought it from said it was the alternator's clutch. What you guys think? Anyone experience this before? Im thinking about taking it to satan (dealership). Help

There's no such thing as an alt clutch. There is an A/C compressor clutch but I doubt that's it (you can remove it's belt to verify). First, and most likely, check the harmonic balancer (large crank pulley that drives the belts) for separation. Then check that all accessory belts are adjusted tight enough and in good condition (and they are the correct belt).

Tighten or replace the blet going to the alterator, Thats the alternator squeels becouse its to loose if it brittle change it if its good tighten it and you should be fine mine did the same and now it good.
Make sure you do that becouse your burning the belt when it squeels like that after a while it will snap so if its been doin for a quit while change the belt and tighten it up good but not to hasrd should have some a little play a little or it will squeel.......

Do you know if the belt was new? I replaced my harmonic balancer and my belt, after about a month it started making noise. They need to be retightened. Should go away.

the belt looks brand new so maybe it needs to be tightened now that it wore in. Ill try that thanks
