I've been messing around with weird setups for my FMIC since early fall when I found out my stock one looked like it was swiss cheese(alot of holes).
Anywho, I've posted pictures and routes I decided to take in other threads, but today I just got pissed off, took off the bumper and did it RIGHT!(atleast in my eyes).
Let me know what you guys think.

Heh, ain't I just creative? It's temporary.... but is there such a thing as too long of a dump tube?

Hopefully this setup is pretty futureproof, routing anyways.. planning on dropping in a 16g or a 20g, and once I do, if bumper permits, hope to get a bigger intercooler.

How's ground clearance? (Actually putting the bumper on and taking the car off the jack stands.)

And is it just me or does that FMIC look fairly damaged?

All I can say is "Holy motherofgod, Batman! That's some long ass IC piping!"

Car was lowered by original owner, so I get about 2 1/2" from the I/C pipes to ground. Don't grind yet, and yes the intercooler is damaged from when the car got hit while I was at school in winter, which is why I'm planning on upgrading to something bigger, but I've leak tested it and it's just dinged up fins, no leaks.

Not from where I'm sitting. That core took a nice little beating. I'm a little surprised the core isn't leaking.

congrats on getting it on right. That is some long piping. I hope the entire setup/time spent was cheaper than $300. Because we all know if it equals it or more, the SSAC 2g kit is hard to beat, actually it cant for the price. Anyways any picture with the bumper back on? Also what upper ic pipe is that where the BOV is mounted under?

Is that the ebay ground wire kit? Did you notice any improvement after the install? the wires look quality and so are the connection ends. Also might want to check your valve cover gasket, looks like its leaking.

I'll have a shot of bumper on in the morning, I can definately go bigger in terms of height, don't know about length, maybe a little more depth, 3" I think.
Lets see, entire setup cost me roughly 250, I'd say.. got the intercooler for 75$, hard piping for like another 75$, bov and flange pipe for 45$, and the silicone and t clamps made up the rest of the cost, I started this setup when the SSAC 2g FMIC was going for I think 500+100 shipping, back in September(could be wrong).
There's a thread on here about the grounding kit, I personally saw a big difference when I hooked it up, no more light dimming, and a couple of other things like ebreak flashing at a light. General engine grounding helped alot, plus this is some pretty sweet gauged wire w/ connectors.
As for the valve cover gasket, changed it way back when I cracked my VC, that's just left over, didnt have any engine degrease stuff. Good eye though!

Now go finish it up with a boost leak test before you go boosting.
Leak test will be performed tommorow, needed father's compressor...
Also, when I went around the block... or maybe down the mainstreet, my BCS seems to have fallen off, is this a bad thing? No CEL yet...
