palm crashed

I just got a logger 3 weeks ago, started tuning my car with s-afc. I let the batteries go dead and now the all the programs are gone. I cannot get the palm to communicate with my computer either. any suggestions? i do not have a serial cable, but the hotsync cable does connect to the back of my computer. and help is appreciated.

What type of hotsync cable do you have? If it's not a serial cable, then it has to be USB and I can't believe that your PC doesn't have a USB port.
