I'm jockying back and forth between the VRS 2.5" alluminized turbo-back and the Thermal R&D SS 3" cat-back.

They both cost about the same. The trade offs being that the VRS isn't SS and it's a smaller pipe diameter, but it's a complete turbo back. If I did go with the VRS, I was planning on putting a cutout on it.

What would you guys recommend?

My goals are probably 350-375, and I'll most likely be running a T28 Killer (or FP BigT28).

Do it right the first time, buy a 3" turbo back system that is mandrel bent. It's gonna cost you a little more right now but it will save you in the long run.

Just get 3 inch... i went to a shop called mufflex and they said that can do a 3 inch turbo back (including high-flow cat) with madrel bends for 805, that with me providing downpipe.

Thats very expensive.

Nobody think's a 2.5" exhaust with a cutout would be as good as a 3" exiting from the muffler?

It might be ok for your target HP. BUT boost is addictive and when you do your next upgrade you might need to go with a 3" then the money you you spent on the 2.5 will be a loss.

I have an RnR Racing 3" turbo back. They are a little less then $600. right now. They are very nice systems. Mandrel bent and almost a straight line for awesome flow.

If you have the money then go with the 3 inch. But a mandrel bent 2.5 inch exhaust will be able to get you further than most people think.
