Where to look for cars?

Hey guys, I'm coming from a 91 300ZX Twin Turbo, it was such a beautiful car. I lost control coming around a curve and hit a telephone pole, so I'm having a rough time with things lately. With the money I have now, I think I'm going to look into a 95-99 GS-T or GSX. Wish I could get another Z, but can't afford another. Just wondering, I like how alot of forums have classifieds actually in the forum, where this forum it's separate. Where did you guys buy your cars from? I've looked into autotrader, cars.com, craigslist, but not much luck. That made me think about how I bought my last 2 Z's from 300ZX forums through the classifieds. Just wondering what you guys have to say.

I got my 1g FWD from my cousin when he picked up an Evo, and I got lucky and found a non running 1g AWD in the online auto trader for cheap. You just have to keep an eye out in all the diferent places you have listed. I have seen some pretty good deals on craigslist lately, but they are probably gone by now. Good luck with the search.

trust me i know how you feel i found my car on craigslist in miami. 99 gst stock with 71000 for $5000. Just take your time and dont rush into it. It took me almost 5 month before i found a great deal. But then again i have a 06 nissan altima SER as a daily driver.

I've got about 6K, do you guys think this will get me a nice conditioned, low milaged GS-T or GSX? I'd prefer the GSX, any color. I'll just keep an eye out then, but I'm really anxious to buy another car and get back on the road, it's horrible not having a car to get where you need, especially if you're young.

6k Should get you a nice 2g. Like Miami said, take your time. If you have any local car forums check those too.

I would go for a GSX only. Going from RWD to FWD will not be fun.

Alright, I'll keep an eye out. I think it'd be easier if the classifieds were actually in the forum here. Is their any other populated DSM forums I can look for cars for sale? If anyone knows of a nice GST or GSX for sale around the MD area, let me know.

Just want it to be 5 speed and lowish miles.

Gsx no Gst maybe i got my gst from a little old lady who love sport cars. 6000 for low mileage(50,000-80000) GSX is about 8500 or better. i gave up on the GSX very rare now to find un modded one for the right price. but my gst has been good to me. Oh yeah when i got my gst i did not think of insurance so i still could not drive the car until much later,and you said you are young so think about that too.

Already checked into insurance, I can't believe GSX's are that much, I could get another TTZ for that much, I guess it's just what you prefer. Oh well, GST then it is, I will just have to look though.

Don’t take this the wrong way but I would never get a 300zx TT over a GSX. I am not really sure what draws you to a TT, but I never seen one beat a awd DSM

dont just look for an eclipse gsx or gst because your just limiting yourself. Also look for a talon tsi. They usualy sell for less then thier eclipse counter part

A nice low mileage 2g gsx for 6k I want one too!! You would have to be really lucky to find a nice gsx for that price. A gst mabey. Or you might just get lucky. My friend just bought a 97 gst with a 16g and safc for $7900. Had 74kon it It is in good shape though.

I loved my TTZ, I wish I could just get another one of those, raced a guy I know with a GST from a roll...a few times. I know that's FWD, but my only run in with any eclipse. I like the eclipse, but I've been around the Z much longer, so I'd prefer the Z. Anyways, not looking to battle which car is better, just trying to find out where everyone got their car, and see what I can grab with the limited $$$ I got. Maybe I should look into the 1G

You could do alot with 6k and a 1g. You could go AWD and still have money left to make it fast

Hell if I had 6K to spend on one of my 1g's I wouldnt know where to begin. If you find a cheap AWD 1g and dump the rest of your money into it you would be very happy with the results..
