Turboing a car vs. buying one

i currently have a 93 eclipse base model. with the ### 1.8l. what im trying to figure out is if it would be more cost efficient to buy the motor, trans, turbo setup, ecu, and harness or to just find a new car.
Any ideas?

Just buy a new one. 1g turbos can be found for cheap these days and it will save you so much work.

It would most likely be more cost effiecent to buy an already turbo'd car. Figure my friend just picked up a 91 talon tsi awd body is in excellent condition and the motor was rebuilt 10k ago he paid 3500 for it.

Buy a turbo DSM, no doubt. The 4G63 loves boost.

It would be much cheaper and easier to buy a new car that is already turbo'd. Although it would be much more unique to turbo the 1.8L, I remember reading up on someone that did it one dsmtalk I believe.

Buying a turbo'd car FTW! AWD would be nice too... I guarantee you will love the feeling of an AWD launch.

Just incase you aren't sure with the reply's so far , Im with everyone else buy a turbo version, it will be much less headache & cheeper in the long run.

I found a91 tsi awd for $350 with 110k on the car. It didnt run, I bought it and put in a set of sparkplugs and new gas and have been AWD happy ever since. In other words look around and buy one there too cheap not to.

Believe me buy one. Ive had both. I had the lowest model a 96rs and now i have a 99gsx and wow the difference is just unbelievable . I will never go back and nither will you.
