I recently bought a 1990 talon tsi and i pulled the head off of it to find the number one cylinder was all banged up. The valve on the intake side smacked the piston and was bouncing around in there. Well the head is toast i know that but from what i see, i can still manage the block because there is no real side wall damage so i was wondering what rods and pistons does everyone like and does 20 overbore sound OK?? Who has the best prices on parts?? I was thinking Ross pistons and crower rods thanks for your input I'm really just looking for peoples opinions thanks

does the 20 over change displacement at all? and i was thinking of going higher compression so thats why i am worrying about the cylinder walls

A little bit. Not enough to notice probably though. You're only increasing the bore of each cylinder about a mm or so.
