Im about to send my block to the machine shop, to open the cylinders, so i can install some .20 pistons. I would like to know, if i can use the stock head gasket, or i would need to use the .20 one, if there´s any. Thanks. :thumb:

huh WTF .20 over head gasket's dont exist! that you are boring out your block has nothing to do with the head gasket , think about were the head sits on top of the block yes it goes .20 further out in diammeter but the piston doesnt clear all the way to the top of the cylinder .
p.s if your planning on running higher boost levels i recommend getting a cometic multy layer head gasket

I wasn´t sure. But to my understanding when you go with .40 per example you need another gasket. I´ve seen cometic sold as standard, .20 and .40. Does this happen only in dsm applications or other cars as well?

85.5 MM (standard bore)
(86mm - .020" over)
(87mm - .040" over)

I am currently doing the exact same thing to my block i was going to get the SCE copper gasket but they are on back order but the one i was going to use was good for stock to .020 over bore. But i went with the Cometic 86 mm. I have not got it yet but this weekend i should be installing it and put the engine together.
