First off i haven't had time to tear into it alot. First real drive after rebuild i think i have 5 miles on it from around the block trying to get it warmed up and everything. Leave the garage down the road 2 miles back the road turn the corner and after back tracking with the truck i see where the oil drain plug was removed from a "small pot hole". 2 blocks from my house. On with the story get it infront of my garage maybe 30 seconds after the oil went every where and still didnt know it. Park it then decide lets take it back into the garage. Starts back up high pitch sound ok turn it off check all my fluids oil bone dry. So i put another 5 quarts in and well onto the floor with that one. Next day get another 5 quarts and a drain plug. Start it up let it warm up in my garage and put it into reverse get about 5 feet and dead. So i start looking around for oil from a rod or something. Nothing crank it for about 3 seconds sounds like hammer taping the head. Take off the vavle cover looks like no damage. Take off the timing cover. Crank it head cam gears not moving. The crank pulley is moving. I can get the cams to move their little bit. So im thinking oil pump is gone that is where i ask all of you? Second question is as long as my bearings are ok do you think the cylinder walls would have been scored?

Cam sprockets not moving while cranking = timing belt damage = bent valves = head overhaul = $$$.

I heard the famous "hammer on engine" noise some months back, sucks but I'd bet the belt is gone, and with it the valves.

Now for a contest to see who had compression on the least amount of cylinders after a t-belt took a shit :notgood:

well i have another head which isnt a problem but what about the bottom end? By the way i know the timing belt is in one piece tried pulling on it.

I checked a car this weekend that stripped 12 teeth, 0,0,0,20 compression numbers:toobad:
I didnt understand one thing though. Number one had 20 psi dry, wet it pegged the gauge. Released the pressure cranked it again and back to 20psi? I think he's going to buy a head off of me though. :D
