This is for my 90 Laser RS turbo....

Just got the new head I was waiting for since the balance shaft belt took out my old head:notgood:. Anyways, I am almost 100% positive I have the timing dead on yet it is still running like crap.

I have all the timing marks lined up, or at least I think I do and still runs like shit. Anyone have any suggestions? Here are two pics of the timing marks and a video of it running...

Sounds similar to mine which I am still trying to fix. Idle problems will kill you. Maybe huge vacuum leak or ISC etc? Whats your idle in HG? Surging at all? Any CEL's?

Also check your CAS. 1g's I believe can be adjusted unlike 2G's.

The timing plate on the crankshaft can be damaged and rotate independently of the crank. I'd check it to make sure it is lined up correctly. I would also do a boost leak test and verify that all of the sensors are plugged in.

If I recall correctly for a 2g, the vaccuum is supposed to be around -19psi at sea level, and the idle is supposed to be 750. Vaccuum looks low and idle looks high.

Since it's a 1g, have you adjusted your BISS properly (vfaq has the procedure). Maybe post throttle plate leaks (IM/head gasket, injector insulators, TB gaskets, etc.)?

Have you tried driving it yet or are you just concerned with idle at the moment? If you've driven it, does it misbehave under load?
