help!!!!!

ok i need help fast!!!!1i got a 99 gs. and i noticed that it was over heatin so i filled it up with antifreeze and it was ok. well last night i was driving i noticed that it started over heating again so i started driving home and then my powersteering went out well i got home and i checked it this morning and one of my belts wasnt on in fact it was kinda missing which i think thats why my power steering went out. and i also noticed htat my fans were not spinning. i know one of them always is on and the other turns on when you turn the climate control on. any ideas on whats wrong with my baby? please help!!!

you should have a 50/50 water/antifreeze mix,
not sure on the belt routing for a 420A,
but your belt didnt come off for no reason, unless it was worn out.
look for anything that might be bent or loose like a pully, or tensioner and alternator.


as for the fans, they should only turn on after 180deg right?

yeah i do have a 50 50 mix and not too sure about the fans butsome one please help

you probably just had a bad belt and it came off so then your water pump wasnt working and that also then caused ## powersteering to go out to when it came off just put a new belt on and see what happens as for the fans maybe check the relay or the plug

well i tried getting a hold of our family mechanic and he is in indiana today but i called my friend and his mechanic is gonna come out to my house and check it out hopefully it will all turn out good. any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated

your best bet is going to be to go and buy the belt at your local auto parts store and maybe even a manual and u could do it yourself it isnt really that hard

so do you think thats why my fans arnt turning also? cause of the belt?

Well ithe mechanic came by and he looked at it and said he will try to fix it in the mornin cause he had another car to work on but he said we will probably try putting the belt on and then changing the thermostat and the relay or switch and then put the belt that broke on. Well a new one that is. As far as which belt its the one that controls the power steering. Mind you that I have a 99 gs so its on the passenger side on the top.
Another thing I turned on my car to move it and when I turned it off I heard like a hissing sound and then some coolant started leaking from what seemed the bottom of the car. My friends dad said it had something to do with the water pump not working cause of the belt not being on?

So anyone else have any ideas? I really hope my car isn't messed up ? Input greatly appreciated please

two questions how long did you let it run to move your car and how big was the puddle of fluid? if you let your car run for to long it could have overheated and it could have pushed a gasket out and that was your hissing noise or it couldve been your radiator cap or if it was just a little tiny puddle it couldve been the weep hole on the bottom of your water pump which would mean your seals in it are probably shot either way it doent sound good what is the coolant level currently in the car and check the oil make sure it doesnt have water in it also just to be sure
