well i just got my car back from the shop and its running like crap... the motor turns over but when it does it bogs like hell and its making a odd clicking sound. While it was in the shop i had a 14B installed and I'm not sure if its spooling or not....

i know this is very vague but i don't really now how to explain it

Please help

no the car ran fine b4 the shop got there hands on it but my motor locked up and they pretty much did a full rebuild on the thing thats why it was there, and the turbos brand spanking new right out of the box from japan.

i think i found out what the clicking/ ticking sound is. i think its the spark wires b/c they're the original wires soo i think there just arking. another thing might be some crossed vac. lines thus causing the crapy idle. so i was wondering if someone could take a picture of there throttle body off a 7Bolt

Recheck to make sure that all of the vacuum lines and sensors were hooked back up. Make sure they connected the plug wires in the proper order. Does the clicking seem to be coming from the head? Can you smell fuel in the exhaust? If you let it idle for a minute then give it gas do you get a puff of black smoke out of the exhaust?

yeah everythings hooked up and all its just bogging. but when i drive it its fine i just sounds like my damn exhast is leaking... im gonna take a video of it tomm. when theres some light out and ill post it then.

heres a pic of mine i dug up, not centered on tb but you can see the hoses

Did you actually check for an exhaust leak?

Does sound like an exhaust leak.

If the engine was just rebuilt, just go back to the mechanic and have them rediagnose the problem and save yourself the trouble. You paid for a service which isnt correct.

If they give you a problem, get a second opinion.

If your plug wires were bad you would hear a misfire, not hearing that in your video.

On another note, it might be the sound quality, but it sounds like you have a bearing going out on one of your pulleys, or a belt is rubbing somewhere.

In your initial post you said that you're not sure if the turbo is spooling or not. A pre-turbo exhaust leak would cause poor spool up/boost response and account for the sound. A large exhaust leak of the type that could cause the sound in your video should be pretty easy to locate by carefully feeling for the hot escaping gases. If your still unsure you can run a can of Seafoam through the intake. The resulting smoke will identify even the smallest exhaust leak.

yeah i took it back to them, and when i pulled in it went from sounds crapy to sounding like a cammed out tank and started shaking like crazy at idle.
