Aright heres my dilema... It only does this once in a while. Only in fourth gear on the highway the clutch will slip mabye 2 or 3 times a week. It started it once I started to run more boost. But my question is why does it slip only once in a while? I already have a clutch and a flywheel to go in. But just want to make sure nothing else is wrong. The trans shifts liek butter so its not the master. Becasue that would cause harsh shifting. I dont think the slave is leaking at all. Only mod I did with the hydraulics is the restrictor mod. And put in dot3 synthetic fluid.

Also would you guys reccomend replacing the clutch fork since my trans will be out for the clutch? And if so what kind is good?

Thanks!

Basically once you heat up the clutch it gets "greasy". The higher the gear the more the engine has to work to keep the car going. Therefore it takes more power/torque in 4th/5th gear than it does in 1st/2nd gear. So if the clutch is about shot, it will slip in higher gears because it cant hold the power/torque anymore.

When replacing the clutch I would suggest replacing the pivot ball and throw out bearing. Check the clutch fork, I cant remember if it can be measured to find out if its bent but if you can, I would suggest doing it.

Time for the install!

Last time I changed my clutch, I went ahead and changed the fork as well. It's never a bad idea to do that, especially with a higher mileage dsm and a heavier pressure plate. Change the pivot ball too, lube it up and you're set to go.

nope act2100 I will be running. Now I belive it is stock in there now. But it feels kinda hard so I am going to peek in at the fork to see what color the clutch thats in there now looks like... The kit I got Has the TOB as well. Got a ACT2100 kit with street disc and an ACT StreetLite AXACT flywheel... Should be a nice combo...
