Hello I just got around to installing some poly motor mounts, I have done it on 2g's and the stock ones came right out. I installing my right one (timing belt side) I put in the front inserts, Now I am on the tranny mount and the stock mount seems like it is just a part of the tranny mount assembly it will not come out. Is there any trick you guys use to get them out?

Also any techniques to getting the back one out? I never imagined what a pain to do these it would be.

wow, ha, I've done them all and I'm stuck on the rear mount as well, I'm actually switching the poly mounts from my 93 auto, I must say that the auto rear mount was SO much easier, I got mine out with a swivle(sp?) socket, you know the sockets that are bendable, and I used a REALLY REALLY long extension for the bottom bolts that hold the mount to the frame. The center bolt is easy, just put 2 rachets on it and pull. My problem is getting the middle bolt to line up with the new mount... I've been fighting with it for about 6 hours now. I've actually taken off all the other mounts and used a jack at every point i can think of to try and get it lined up...

If I rember correctly when I did mine. I put the bolt through them both before I even started to bolt the mount back on. I used alot of soap to make it so I could kind of swivel the mount a little to get the 3 or 4 bolts into it.

I think I am just gonna get the mounts to a machine shop to get them hydrolically pressed out, if at all possible I can always remove the intake manifold to get to the rear one but I really dont wanna do that.

The motor mount underneath the intake mani isn't as bad as it honestly seems. You have to take the speed sensor off if your m/t. To get mine off, I removed the upper intercooler pipe, and the battery. After that there's 1 bolt on the bracket then 3 bolts on the tranny that's holding the bracket. Once you get that bracket off there will be only 4 bolts to get loose to get the mount out. From what I remember I got the 4 motor mount bolts out and the 2 of the three tranny bracket bolts out from underneath the car. The third tranny bracket bolt and the bolt that holds the bracket to the mount i got to from over the hood. Hope this helps.
