externally gated turbo and wastegate question

I searched to try and find my answer but to no avail. I know with a internally gated turbo you can remove the wastegate flapper and run a wastgate off of the o2 housing, but on a external gated turbo like this t3/t4 http://www.slowboyracing.com/estore/product.php?productid=6125&cat=4752&page=1, there is no hole to have a o2 housing with a external wastegate. If I am right then the only option is wastegate mounted on the manifold? Is this right? if not please educate.

You are correct. The external wastegate for a turbo like that one would be mounted before the turbo, on the manifold somewhere.
