Hey guys, need some of your thoughts on my current situation.
I have a 91 Galant VR-4, I love it to death, but it needs a clutch and a few other driveline items (rearend, driveshaft rebuild, ect...). So fixing all of this is going to make some serious down time for it since it has the RWS (rear wheel steer) and I plan on actually swapping subframes with a parts 1G I have so I can eliminate the RWS for now.
Now I have a working 90 GSX, but I really dont know how reliable its going to be in the coming months with the Galant down, and I need a reliable car to get me to and from work and to and from my hometown (30 mins away).
The only problems I have ever had with AWD dsm's has been with the tranny/xfer case/basically the AWD itself. Period. Otherwise I consider them reliable cars. Would it be stupid to trade my 90 GSX straight up for a FWD turbo DSM or possibly turbo or n/t colt/CSM? In all honesty I would say the GSX is worth about 2500, maybe even 2000ish, its completely stock and has fading black paint.
I know most of you are going to say sell it for cash and buy what I want, but if I can kill two birds with one stone that would be a bonus, not to mention I know there are a ton of guys out that would trade their FWD turbo DSM for an AWD turbo DSM any day of the week.
Does this sound retarded? I kind of want to stick to my mitsu guns because I have so many spare parts that if anything did break, I have a spare (within reason, like starter/alt/battery/radiator/sensors).
I dont know, its just a thought I had and wanting some critiquing on it.

. I wont let that go, but Im actually asking if I should trade the 90 GSX that I have for 1g Turbo FWD car, thats the crux of my dismay since I dont think the GSX is a reliable car in itself, since its AWD. On the other hand, I have never heard of anyone really having a problem with their stock 1G FWD car, see where im going with this?
