I have been looking into exhausts for my car because it just broke right before the muffler, and now I want a full catback. I want to try to keep my car looking stock, but every exhaust that I see is either not made for the GSX or is a single 3"-4" tip, which I don't want. Do you have any suggestions for me. I am also trying to keep the car quiet, though I realize that the less bend the more power, the louder it is, but I'm trying to find a happy medium, a silencer would even be an option. If anyone could help me out it would be great. Thank you in advance.

What i did was order the dejon exhaust piping (though i got it right when he first made them) and then dropped on a magnaflow 3" in dual 2.5" out and picked up tips. Looks totally stock, sounds WAAAY quieter than a big farty tip and i don't get unwanted attention from cops. I can get the part #'s if you want.

Here's the links,

Good luck man!

Edit, dejon's dite is actually dejonpowerhouse.com.

i'd actually like those part #'s a lot... how's the clearance with that muffler? I'm lowered 2" and often scrapes with the stock exhaust, but i think my stock hangers (100,xxxmi) are drooping too. but tha'd be cool if it's not too much trouble.

Depends on how low your exhaust hangs really. Mine is a little lower than stock because of the piping, but it's not a bad fit. I can look if i have some pics. . .

Actually, here's a vid.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/e8161347-89ed-4527-a417-987f0117b8f9.htm

Was a half warm start, so i didn't rev too much.

You can get that muffler in SS too in a few canister sizes if you just look around a bit. But summit is the best prices i've found so far.

Sounds very nice, I like it.

To the original poster, about the only exhausts you'll find that look decent [or stock] on a budget are going to be custom-built. Of course, the Dejon exhaust is a great choice as well, not sure if you could snag just the piping from them though.

My brother told me that custom built was a good way to go, but I'm gonna look more into the dejon piping and see if i can get the piping and do the Magnaflow muffler. If that video was the muffler from summit then that sounds really good.

Here's a better view of the tips for ya.

HKS used to make a dual tip catback in the 2.5". You could always get this and match a downpipe and cat to this. I had this exhaust when I first bought my talon in 1998. Its quiet enough but looked stock as well. Im actually selling it since I bought a new one. I don't know if they make it anymore...

You can't go wrong with Magnaflow. Great sound! I just got the race series 3 inch in 4 inch out in last week and hopefully putting it on soon just waiting for my Megan down pipe to come in...Go Magnaflow you'll love it.

I just ordered the Dejon tool Exhaust Pipe Kit from Dejon, along with the bullet muffler under the car to make it quieter. I also ordered the Magnaflow XL 4 X 9 muffler. The whole package cost me about $300, which I don't think is too bad. I'm off to N.C. in the morning, so I hope that my goodies will be here when I get back. I will let you know how it looks and sounds (if someone knows how to upload sound/video).

Hey guys, I got my parts a few weeks ago, but ran into financial issues so I just brought my car in yesterday to get the exhuast on. I got it back today and I'm pretty satisfied. It could be a little quieter, but it is a 3" so I expect it to be pretty loud. The Dejontool pipes set the muffler on a bit of an angle, so when I get my tips I'm gonna try to bend them so it comes out straight. If you want to hear it, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6I9Df-SEpAI. Hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think. Thank you to everyone who helped me find this exhaust combo.
