Hole in tranny case

In my old tranny there is about a dime sized hole through the case. Is there any way to patch that and be able to run it safely. Because one of my buddys needs a trans to rebuild so he doesnt have a down car. Thanks guys.

um yeah. one methed is path welding (use a washer and screw to hold it in place) You could try JB weld. you can even go to autozone and get something called gas tank repare. Anyone of those will solve the problem but welding is the best...

Hole in tranny means it needs to be rebuilt. Sounds alot like the diferential pin situation in the non turbo cars. It will work, but not for long. Take the tranny in, or have your friend do it and have them weld the hole shut. Patching the hole and using that tranny will only result in this.
