I bought a set of white gauge faces from ebay, (never again) I had to pull the needles off to fit them on. Now they don't seem to read right anymore, is there a way to recalibrate the cluster? I made sure that the needles could move without restriction, but the temp gauge sits alll the way down when not running, the gas gauge sits a 1/4, and I'm pretty sure the speedometer is off.

you shouldve marked where the needles went, but for the speedo you can try driving by a heres your speed sign if you have those there to try to get it right or take it somewhere that does speedo work and they will be able to recalibrate it for you

well first you shouldn't have pulled the needles off and just cut the old gauge faces off. second you might have unwound the springs on the inside of the cluster. U can try to slide the needles down like you fuel gauge...first drive your car so you know it has no gas what so ever... then push the needle down to bottom. Then get some gas and see if it has moved at all and there you go with that one. the others are a little bit more tricky. for speed you can just pase behind someone (make sure you have the clear plastic cover off for this one) Then move the needle so it is at the speed you are going... it would be best to follow a 25 mph sign it would be easier. I think that might do it since are clusters are digital you might have some problems and might have to buy a new one and cut the gauge faces off this time:thumb:

OMG... where do i start. First off... you can't cut the stock gauge faces off, the ebay faces are just overlays. Secondly, if you try to slide your fuel needle down to the "correct" position your just going to screw it up even more. The needles MUST be placed exactly where you want them to be, meaning you can't put the needle on and then move it to position you want. That's why your needles are off right now.

Don't drive around until you run out of gas either, that's the dumbest idea ever. Better yet, go fill your tank all the way up and then place the needle (with the cluster installed and the car on, so that there is power to the cluster) exactly on to the "full" mark.

Repeat with each of these needles making sure that the car is on and idling. IE: If your car idles at 800 RPM, place the needle at 800 RPM (again, with the gauge cluster connected). Place your water temp needle where it would be at during normal operating temp.

The last needle that you should place on would be the speedo. For this one you MUST be pacing someone and, while driving, place the needle on the exact speed that you are going. Once all the needles are in place, remove the cluster once more and finish putting it back together completely.

...btw, remember to thouroughly clean the inside of your clear protective panel.:rocks:
