Without a Thrust shift knob, you won't be able to see the full potential of a manifold.........wait, you do have one.So i was looking at a better intake manifold and i was wondering it it would give me a hp increase i could feel like the downpipe did!
1g intake manifolds are dirt cheap, probably just have to pay shipping for one. There so damn hard to get rid of.
Not a good idea unless you have a 1G head.1g intake manifolds are dirt cheap, probably just have to pay shipping for one. There so damn hard to get rid of.
Hey xioca,
What's that in our garage burried in stuff? A 76 Vette?
(fully sealed in plastic of course.)No, a 1G manifold runners are way too big for a 2G head, too much velocity will be lost if you were to port match a 2G head to 1G manifold.Oldman, all you would need to do is slightly port the head to match the 1g intake runners right? I've not dealt with 2g heads, but I thought thats all that was required.

Alright that makes sense, I always thought a 2g to 1g intake mani swap was common place. i shouldn't assume things. Thanks for clearing that up for me though.
