Im pretty excited im starting my search for parts to start my 6 bolt build up...I have a list that i have from the tech forums and websites that outlines what is needed for the build and swap into a 2g eclipse..the list i have is as follows let me kno if im missing anything..

2 g eclipse

-tranny
-turbo exhaust manifold
-AC pump
-fuel rail with regualtor and injectors
-throttle position sensor
-throttle body elbow
-power steering pump
-pulley to poer steering pump
-drivers side engine mount
-MDF
-pistons

upon my rebuild i was going to upgrade some parts since i got the 6 bolt motor very cheap i have some money left to build power, if i am to upgrade parts like pistons exhauist manifold fuel rail..etc. Would upgrading these parts affect anypart of my swap or rebuild?

O im sorry i forgot to mention that..im not putting it in the eclipse that i have now thats just my get around car.. i plan on dropping the engine into a 95-99 gsx/tsi..but until i find the shell im gonna focus on the motor..i was gonna upgrade the exhaust manifold(anysuggestions) fuel rail (AEM?)...

I just bought a stainless steel tubular header ported with a 38mm WG flange off ebay for $150 shipped.

Some people recommend not to buy off ebay, but for a header you'll be fine.

AEM makes a really good high flow fuel rail. But if you're gonna do that you should do the whole fuel system with a bigger pump, and injectors.

Stay away from the ebay stainless manifolds. The flanges are made from mild steel welded to stainless tubes. Stainless and mild steel expand at different rates and it causes cracks. It's not a question of if it will crack, but when. Add in the weight of the turbo hanging on it, and then one day you go to drive and your turbo hits the ground when the manifold literally breaks in half. I have a few friends running the stainless o2, but I would not run the manifold on a daily driver. You might be able to get away with running the manifold if it was a track car only but no way on a daily driver.

So if i buy the AEM fuel rail injectors and alldo i buy the one that is for a 2g even tho im building a 6 bolt??

I would'nt waste my money on a fuel rail unless your buying it for the bling factor or plan on making some big horsepower 400+ . At this point that money could be better used somewhere else
