max boost a turbo can push

i have a 91 gsx and i have a stock turbo pushin 14psi wats the max it can push its a tdo5h stock 1st gen turbo thx

The turbo itself can do 20-21psi, but without fuel mods I wouldn't push your boost past 16-17 psi.

It all depends. There are people pushing 20psi with the appropriate fuel system, intercooler, etc.

ok well were rebuildin right now as we speak with 2g pistons and a basic rebuild shit so i was jus wonderin but were doin the right fuel system and everything one time hopefully

If its all stock 16psi MAX but i would stick with 15psi just to be safe

ok well were doin a 255lhp pump and fuel reg and maybe some bigger injectors and tune it with jus a 3 in turbo back exhuast it became alot faster so i wanna see what it will do now with a higher compression w/2G pistons

hint hint wink wink... I need to upgrade my injectors, I have 550cc and need to go to 650cc+. Decide if you want to keep the 14B or if you are going to a larger turbo before you make your injector decision. The pistons will raise your compression a little so pushing more boost without playing with timing and fuel maps can get risky.

Make sure that you have some way of monitoring knock. Because if you run to much boost on low octane fuel you could predetonate and waste your motor.

So get a pocketlogger, or have it professionally tuned.
