I have a 96 talon tsi. I am trying to change the heater core. I have the entire dash out, and all of the bolts holding the heating unit to the firewall. I have taken off both of the hoses that go to the heater core in the engine compartment. The heating unit moves but still will not come out. I was wondering if anybody has replaced a heater core and could help me out. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah i got it, it was the ac lines, as soon as i took them off, the cooling box moved enough to get the heater bot out. What a PITA this is LOL... Thanks for the help guys.

Were you able to just move the AC Lines and not disconnect them? I would hate to have to have the AC System recharged.
