Humming sound?

When im decelerating in gear I hear a humming sound coming from my rear end. I think its either my wheel bearings or my differential. Im going to check to see how the fluid is in my differential right now, but is there anything else it could be?

Its most probably the wheel bearing because they way you are describing it thats exactly what happened to me.

If you want to see if it is your wheel bearings, jack your car up and grab ahold of the problematic wheel at 3-o-clock and 9-o-clock and try pulling it to check for play. If you find play, wheel bearing is most likely your answer. Just be careful and do not go throwing parts in the shopping cart if you are not sure.

ok, well I checked my diff and it was full. But if it was a wheel bearing wouldn't it make the noise all the time. And on the transfer case to check the fluid is it the large bolt on the bottom, because I cant seem to find any other bolts that would allow me to check the fluid level.

A wheel bearing will not always make a noise. Sometimes it is very stubborn and will only make noise under certain speed situations, or during cornering which would load the weight onto the bad side due to body roll. I would jack it up, and check for play.

Can someone please link a diagram of where the fluid check hole is on the transfer case, or just tell me where it is thankyou, and I will lift the car up and check for play in the wheel.

There should be 2 holes on the tcase, the lower one is the drain, the higher one is a check. This is how it is on most vehicles.
