Ok, i just put the my gst up on the rack at my school and replaced the passenger side inner tie rod, (didnt have time to do both, but passengers was the only one showing wear) previously, i had experienced some severe vibration when turning the wheel slightly to the right, mostly at speeds around or above 45/50 mph. Now that the new tie rod is in place, it seems to have eliminated a great deal of the vibration, but when pushing the car slightly harder into the curve there still seems to be a pretty decent amount there. Now we didnt balance all the tires indivitually, but it was aligned to factory specs after we did the installation, so i know it cant be that. Basicly i have two questions,

A, what else could be wearing in order to cause a vibration during right hand turns

B, is it possible that the fact that i have 18 inch wheels, and the only specs on the alignment rack were for the factory 16 inch wheels could be throwing something off?

(fyi) the car feels like it still has a slight pull to the right, and when we had it on the rack, the right front wheel's camber was off by 1.0, but we couldent really do anything about it

Thanks in advance

I dont remember what it was set to off the top of my head, ill try to get the car back on the rack tomorrow and get some exact figures, if i can't get it on then, the soonest i could run the diagnostics would be tuesday, so i may end up just posting another thread once i get some exact figures

if one side has more caster than the other it will push the car to one side. As your vibration noise, make sure you have everything torqued right. It could almost be anything.

Caster is the key to a pulling problem. You might also try to swap the two front tires left to right to see if this helps. Sounds crazy but I have seen what we call radial tire pull. As far as your vibration check your cv axles and your front wheel bearings. Usually an alignment issue will not cause a vibration. Also rebalance your tires. Hope this helps and keep us posted. Just got the car out on the highway for the first time since the installation, it dosent vibrate nearly as much as it used to on there, but at about 75/80 the whee still becomes shaky and the car makes the same vibrating/rubbing noise/feeling that it did before.
also something i neglected to mention at first, the car vibrates from the right front under braking too, not all the time but about 80% of the time. still does this, although i can tell that the vibration from that is reduced significantly, it used to shake every loose trim piece in the interior and you could hear them all rattling, now its more of a vibrating/pulsing feeling isolated to the steering wheel and brake pedal. could it be a warped rotor/stuck caliper?
