Well first off im in the chicagoland area and found a Black 2g AWD Talon with a 6 Bolt and some other shit in a Junkyard in my area... that having nothing to do with what im asking here its just in case maybe someone knows whos car this was at one time or what not... SO this is the thing i Find a 2g With a 6 Bolt i pul it and the thing looks amazing like brand new looks like it maybe had a 1000 miles on it... whoever built the car researched some shit about it though and did it right... But my thing is it Came out of a junkyard... Do i throw it in my car and possibly waste all the time and it be blown??? that was my inicial thought and then i noticed there was a little front end damage like maybe someone smacked a curb and insurance just gave them the money and took it (just my theory) but i dunno what to do the clutch is new its ACT brand new flywheel... cleanest head ive seen thats not brand new... and when i pulled the intake mani off and match up the port job with my 7 bolt its like twice the size... im sure a 1g is pry a lil bigger but not half the size should i start to be thinking that maybe this thing was built ### there was ARP stickers under the hood which told me either head studs or main studs maybe both... i dunno what to think give me ## opinion...

I stripped the entire car of everything including engine bay leather interior and pretty much everything for like 422 bucks... tranny and trans case look new too

Pull the head and make sure the valves and pistons are ok. If they are good, I would through it in, time it, and hope she dont have rod knock. LOL. You could also take off the oil pan and inspect it.

A way to find out if it has a really hard rod knock/ broken rod, is to turn the motor over by hand and see if it all moves nice or if you hear it hit. Just another thing to check before dropping it in.

did it and i turned it pry a good 10 times everything seems fine... also changed the oil pan gasket and looking from the bottom up everything looks good... i think i just caught an amazing deal if all checks out and works fine....

Send it to me and ill let you know if everything is good or not :). Sounds like an awesome deal. Good find
