I want a gt35r with V-band outlet and surge ported compressor housing. Ive been having a really hard time finding this turbo.

There are alot different companies that sell Garrett turbos. I would give Precision Turbo a call. They make quality turbos, and they use Garrett parts. They also sell Garrett Turbos. I would however, check around for Authorized dealers. You can sometimes get a cheaper price for the turbo that you are looking for. I have purchased all of my turbos from Precision. Including the current one that I have.

Good luck..

I'd love to give FP my business but I don't think they offer the turbine housing I want. ATP has the turbine housing I want but then doesn't offer the compressor housing I want, hence my dillema

Slowboy Racing has some high quality turbos and they carry Garrett turbos along with many other brands so it makes it easy to find what you need. Good Luck

I've been searching for the same thing! ATP offers the 35R and has the option of machining the GT turbine 4 bolt housing down to a 3" Vband. No one else offers this that I know. Unfortunately ATP doesn't offer the 35R in a anti surge comp cover. Yes, I emailed them about it, and they can't get it for some reason but everyone else can. If they could, I would buy it from them.

I've been in contact with Dave Johnson at Dejon and he's finding out if PTE offers it, I think they might. PTE has the cool looking anti surge cover and I think a T31 turbine housing, and ATP could machine the T31 housing into the 2.5" Vband but I think you have to buy the turbo from them for them to do it. As soon as I hear back from Dave I'll let you know.

On the other hand I might be able to pick up one of the new Turbonetics GT-K 650's for cheap (almost 35R cheap) and try it out.

I would also say check Slowboy Racing they carry alot of different turbo's
Actually, they don't regarding garrett products. Slowboyracing stocks their bolt on housings and BP housings, ask me how I know and things could get ugly in here. I wouldn't want to create any issues with administration here, I understand mike is still a sponsor.

I have seen it on ebay with the V-band option (only other place) but again without mention of a surge ported compressor cover option.

Is this the cool looking compressor cover you were talking about?

You know I am sort of glad you brought compressor covers up, I have been wondering what difference there was in function from the housing forced performance uses on their turbo's. Here's an example below

Looking at the comp covers of the large frame turbo's (gt4088, gt42r, gt4292,ets) it seems that the one fp uses mirrors those housings alot closer.

Project, I just got off the phone with FP and they said they can special order the V-Band turbine housing. Out the door shipped to california, with SP compressor housing shown in the middle, 1590. I think I will opt for the polished compressor housing so it will run me an extra hundred.

Seems about par with other shops on pricing, but thats cause their price for the turbo is lower then others. ATP charges 100 dollars extra for the V band but a hundred dollars more for the turbo, FP charges 200 dollars extra for vband (done out of shop, plus mark up) but then a hundred less for the turbo. Since ATP doesn't have SP housing there's not much point in comparing them though.
