where can i get this part?

I was recently installing shift cables, and well my 4 retainers that hold the cables in place somehow went missing. To clarify if thats too vauge there the 4 little peices that just slide in between the mounting bracket and the bracket on the cable, 2 under the hood and 2 in cabin. Where can I find these?

Are you talking about the Codder(sp?) Pins? It is recommended that those are replaced with new ones after removal. So if those are what you lost you can go to Advance Auto Parts, Pep Boys, or Auto Zone or any place like that and pick up a bundle for real cheap.

i think hes talking about the flat spring clips. your best bet is probably a junkyard or the dealer.

Definitly not the cotter pins. there little peices of like sheet metal with a little bend at the top and they just slide in. and yes i still need them.

Eh, they're more like the clips that hold in door lock tumblers and the like. I'm sure NAPA will have them on the shelf, if you can get a counter man bright enough to know what to look for.
