I made a thread not long ago, but it was merged with another and i was unable to add to it, but i think i have found something that may be causing my boost problem. My turbo hasn't sounded normal lately and it boosts way high sometimes. It sounds like the pressure is constantly being relieved when i get up to 7psi on the stock boost gauge. Then when i let off of the gas it still blows off like normal. I looked at my turbo and wastegate actuator because i was told this could be the culprit and i found that there was oil all underneath it. It was wet, but there didnt seem to be a whole lot. Here are pictures. (not very good ones, but) Anybody know if that could be the problem? Help is appreciated. Thanks

When i hear the surging wind noise there is almost no power and then right before it blows off it will pull a little bit. I know when my turbo is spooling correctly by the sound and i dont hear that sound anymore. No whistle

I havent looked at the exhaust when i drive, but its not any big clouds or anything. It might puff a little.

It looks like the oil is coming straight from the wastegate actuator because its all underneath it. I dont have a boost leak tester, but i think im going to invest in one.

Doesnt the Actuator have oil running through it? I know how to build a tester, i just dont have the parts or time.

the actuator just controls when the wastegate opens the only thing leakin there would be air. the oil may possibly be leaking from one of the oil lines on your turbo,u should ###### check it out

No, it doesn't. It could be any old leak, since many things run down towards the turbo (valve cover gasket, turbo feed line,a manifold stud passage (yes, there is one)) Or, maybe the turbo IS dying and leaking at the seals...
