resurface

i am going to get my head resurfaced how do i am know how much can be taken off? i think its been resurfaced once before? how cna i tell if can be and what happens if its to short ?

If its only been resurfaced once then you dont have to worry about it. you can only resurface it untill you start hitting the valves in the head. i have actually seen where people shaved a little off the valves and resurfaced the head and it still worked. you are talking a head thats probably been resurfaced about 4-5 times tho....

Your machinist should be able to measure the thickness of the head and figure it from there.
