i had a afc and sold it with the intentions of buying this product. i know it uses the CAS for ignition timing, and i have heard it is in-accurate for aggresive ignition timing applications.

other than using a CAS for ignition timing control is there any other things i should be aware of before i purchase this product?

furthermore has anyone tried this product? and found it easy to opperate? use ? tune with? as a logger? or any use what so ever? i think for the price it is un-beatable in terms of versitility and features....

thanks for any feedback on the subject,
Drew,

here is the link....

i dont have a eprom ecu and those are a grip. i thought it had injector compensation it does pulse ,and duty cycle, it just doesnt have global right? like on dsm link? what do you need global for any way?

check the link maybe it has compensation i dont know i will call tommrow and find out?

It has global compensation but it works entirely different than the DSMLINK global compensation. It compensates for the injectors by altering the amount of air that the ECU sees, just like an AFC. The only advantage over the AFC is that it has an injector scale up (instead of manually tweaking the airflows at different RPMs and load) as well as timing control. In the end you're still limited to a certain injector size (say 720 cc), but if you don't plan on going too big then the ECU Plus is just right for you. If it was me, I'd try a little harder to look for an EPROM ECU and then get the LINK. Goodluck!

i can get one with leaky caps for 20 bucks then it must be repaired and, sent off to be socketed for dsm link. then by the dsmlink program... my current set up is capable of 450awhp to the wheels i know i could have done it with a afc, but i was looking to make safer power with a few more features than a afc... i think this is it it has ignition control and i belive i can compensate for bigger injectors with the maf-t cant i?

If I remember correctly its still just a piggy back and it does not have injector compensation. For not to much more you could get dsmlink.

DSMLink is still a type of Piggy Back....

ECU+ is great BTW. One of our local members here has it and loves it. I am a DSMLink fanboy though, so that will probably be what I go with, but I'm sure you'll be happy either way.

Later on you could get an EPROM and chip it for injector compensation and have more options available.

750s should be fine on ECU+ alone and be enough for 500+ whp

I know dsmlink is a piggy back. Never said it wasnt. Its just the best piggy back you can get. You can get an eprom for around 200 and for 200 more its way worth it to get link. Ive heard of people needing an eprom with ecu+ when they wanted to run anything over 750's.

i got it and love it.. i use it with a gm maf (no need for a Maf-t)

the stutter box feature is coming this year (its in the works)

so far,ive had excellent support with the ecu+ (just email the guy,and he always emails back to help me out-thats customer service!)

i live 15 min from them so i suspect that they could be helpful to me as well so that is encourageing.... and i also have the gm maf. that is what meant to say sorry for the confusion... when i talked to them the woner talked it up as he should i was just worried that i would be a bogeus program...thankx for the info i think im gonna get the tuning program soon... i will post the outcome of my experience as well as how easy it was to install so on and so forth.
