I have 95 gst and it came with a n1 3 inch catback and a 2.5 to 3 inch downpipe. I still have the stock o2 hoousing but to me the exhaust just dosent sound as loud as others. I cheked for any leak but did not find any dont know if its because of the 02housing, but i am wondering if the gs or the gst is routed the same and if it looks the same. I might just have a gs on a gst dont know?

Mine is not loud at all. Honestly I love it because of that. So you're saying that you want it to be louder?

My N1 is not loud at all and i have eliminated the cat. I love it for this reason and i wouldnt change the sound at all. If you want louder you are going to need to find a diffrent exhaust because everyone i have talked to with the N1 is very quiet.

I have a 3" custom downpipe, test pipe, and a N1 exhaust. My exhaust is very loud, and has a lumpy tone from my hks 272's.

Is not that i want it louder its just that i have heard louder n1 then mine. But if iwere to put cams how much diffrent woould the exhaust sound. And i do not have a cat.

The main reason a GST's exhaust is quieter than that of a GS, even though they are the same, is that on the GST there is a huge obstruction in the exhaust path. That obstruction being of course the turbo. I have 3" everything on my GSX with no cat, and the car is still much quieter than my RS with just an N1 ever was.
