Tinted Gauges

I have looked around and cannot find the answer to my question. I got a tinted boost gauge, last night and i know how to hook it up so that it reads properly. It came with instructions to hook it up to the lights/dimmer, but i want to hook them up so that whenever the car is on, they come on. If anyone could answer this for me it would make my day.

tap into the accessory power wire on the radio wire harness thats the wire that supplies power to the radio when the car is turned on I believe its the red wire in the stock radios wire harness
